Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro Desktop Computer
Community verdict
The Dell OptiPlex 3090 Micro earns strong praise as a versatile, ultra-compact desktop that excels in both general office setups and homelab virtualization environments. Buyers consistently highlight its snappy performance, reliable build quality, and excellent value for self-hosting apps like Proxmox and Nextcloud. However, some users note that newer ultra-low-power processors draw less electricity at idle and that internal drive expansion options remain limited by the micro chassis size.

Fast machine, with a small footprint and at a good price. I customized this machine a bit. I got the i5 processor and 16GB of RAM...
I have a handful of the optiplex micros running tons of stuff, they are very capable and efficient hosts for proxmox.
I have a bunch of those Optiplex Micro systems and I'm a fan. That being said, 99% of the time you would be better off with a N100 based system.
6th gen processor has a TDP of 35 watts... The N100 is 6 watts. This is basically the baseline you can use for napkin math on power consumption.
