About Avorio

Product research is broken. The first page of results is affiliate listicles that rank products nobody tested, review sections are seeded with incentivized units, and a growing share of what looks like a customer opinion was written by a language model to fill a page.

Avorio takes a different input. Paste a product link, or describe what you're looking for, and we pull what actual buyers and reviewers said about it across Reddit, YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram — then filter that pool before we summarize it. What you get back is a score, the themes people keep raising, and the specific complaints that show up more than once.

1. We gather, we don't syndicate. Every review we summarize comes from a real post or video we retrieved. We don't republish manufacturer copy, and we don't rewrite other review sites.

2. We remove sponsored content. Posts and videos run through a disclosure-pattern filter and then a language model that scores how likely the content was incentivized. Anything above our confidence threshold is dropped before it reaches the summary — a gifted-unit review is an ad, and it doesn't get to vote.

3. We remove machine-written reviews. A second pass scores each review for AI authorship and drops the ones that clear a deliberately high bar. We would rather lose a real review than let a generated one shape a score.

4. We summarize only what survives. Scores, pros, and cons are derived from the reviews that made it through both filters — never from a product page, a spec sheet, or our own guess.

5. If nothing survives, you get no score. This is the part we care about most. When a product has no authentic reviews we can find, the page says so and shows no rating at all. It would be easy to print a 5-out-of-10 and move on; a made-up middling number is worse than an honest blank, so we ship the blank.

Avorio is free, carries no display advertising, and sells no data. We earn affiliate commissions: when we show you where to buy something and you buy it, the retailer may pay us a percentage of the sale. It costs you nothing extra.

We think that only works if it never touches the analysis, so here is the specific boundary. A product's score comes from the filtered review pool and nothing else — the code that computes it has no access to commission data. Retailers are ranked by whether we trust them to ship you the real product, then by price. No merchant, brand, or network can pay to appear, to rank higher, or to have a review removed. We have never accepted payment for placement and are not open to it.

We publish an automated analysis, not a lab test. We haven't held the product. Our filters are good, not perfect — some sponsored content gets through and some genuine reviews get dropped. Coverage is thinner for new or niche products simply because fewer people have posted about them.

Prices and availability come from third-party data and change constantly; always confirm the current price on the retailer's own site before buying. Treat what we publish as a well-researched starting point, not a verdict.
