the Dual Boiler™
Breville · BES920
Community verdict
Drawing from 50 authentic reviews, the Breville Dual Boiler scores an 8.7/10 for offering commercial-grade espresso performance at a competitive price. Enthusiasts heavily praise its thermal consistency, simultaneous brew and steam capability, and standard 58mm group head. However, the most frequent complaint centers on its plastic-heavy outer construction and internal components that often demand regular maintenance over long-term ownership.

The dual boiler is a great machine that provides features that promote temperature stability, and a very repeatable concurrent steam and brew
Build quality is way better than you'd think, worse than you'd hope. The outer shell is thin and doesn't feel particularly sturdy.
Had mine for 10 years and going strong still. I’ve had to replace and fix a few things but I’m incredibly happy with my machine.
The fact that it has a 58mm commercial portafilter means that you can find a lot of stuff out there for it compared to the 54mm
