Community verdict
Stiebel Eltron electric tankless water heaters receive strong praise for their long-term reliability, compact design, and responsive customer service. Buyers consistently value the continuous hot water supply and straightforward maintenance, such as replacing flow sensors or routine descaling. However, reviewers frequently highlight significant electrical installation requirements and note that heating performance can struggle with high flow rates in very cold climates.

I called them before I even purchased one. They were super helpful and nice. After that call, I was really impressed with the customer service
tankless electric units like this one can be a solid upgrade, but the install side is where people sometimes get caught off guard.
In some really cold climates, during the winter, you may even need to go down to one gallon a minute.
Bad choice. Heat Pump w/ tank is far far far FAR more efficient and will use 1/3 the power and cost the same.
