Community verdict
The Skip Hop Moonlight & Melodies Baby Crib Mobile offers soothing benefits and helps keep babies peaceful during naptime. Parents appreciate its versatility, with many choosing to mount it over changing tables rather than cribs. However, safety concerns regarding hanging items directly over a crib and a relatively high price point lead some buyers to question its necessity.

regarding the mobile, know that it's unsafe to hang things over a crib. So go for it if you want, but use it over the change table or something.
Mobile can be removed or put over the changing pad. Honestly it's on the $$ side and not really necessary.
