PlayStation 5 Original Digital Edition
Community verdict
Based on 8 authentic community discussions, the PS5 Original Digital Edition earns a score of 8.2 out of 10. Buyers praise its lower price point, sleeker symmetrical aesthetic, and the seamless convenience of switching games digitally—especially when using accessories like the PlayStation Portal. However, owners frequently note the drawback of being locked out of physical disc sales, used games, and movie playback, along with the inability to add a detachable disc drive later on the original non-Slim model.

Got the digital. Very happy with it especially since I play a lot on PS Portal, so I don't need to worry about what disc is in the drive.
No regrets. It's great. Digital version was just like a free $100. Plus cosmetically I think it looks much nicer.

As the title says, I have the base Ps5 digital (not the slim) and was looking to purchase the disk drive... Im struggling to find out if it can be use
