The blankets arrive a bit stiff and rough to the touch but a delicate COLD wash... relaxes and plumps the fibers.
This is not my first Pendleton blanket, but it is my first machine washable one, and I will never be going back to the traditional wool.
It does not wash well at all as far as shrinkage. I've had 2 kings that would now only be suitable for a queen.
The look and color are pretty much what was looking for but the feel and warmth of the blanket are not working for me...
