Nikon D500
Community verdict
Based on 17 authentic user reviews, the Nikon D500 receives an enthusiastic 9.1 out of 10 score as one of the ultimate DX DSLR bodies ever made. Photographers consistently extol its fast 10fps burst speed, incredible autofocus performance, overall reliability, and strong value on the used market—especially for sports and wildlife. The primary criticisms focus on higher noise levels at higher ISO settings compared to full-frame alternatives and the lack of modern mirrorless eye/subject-tracking autofocus.

The D500 is a mighty good camera, with fantastic auto focus and great image IQ. With the 70-200f2.8 it's great for sports and action.
D500 is still one of the best cameras for wildlife, particularly if you have the skill to get subjects in focus without AI doing it for you.
If I had to pick one word to describe the D500, it's "reliable". It just shoots and shoots.
The D500 is the best DX nikon DSLR ever made and I absolutely love mine. So yes, go for it.
