As a tradesman, I keep a Milwaukee 12V impact driver in my bag and use it every day many times a day. I love it and it gives the IBEW fits...
The output from that Milwaukee is pretty impressive. Those 2ah batteries suck. My M12 drill and impact both have way more torque with the 6 ah pack.
While the new subcompact impact driver is lighter, the former is much faster so the heavier weight is not an issue as the work gets done quicker.
