KitchenAid Artisan Premium Tilt-Head Stand Mixer
Community verdict
Scoring a 7.8 out of 10, the KitchenAid Artisan Tilt-Head Stand Mixer is widely viewed as a reliable kitchen staple with exceptional longevity. Buyers consistently praise its ease of use for everyday baking tasks, cakes, and smaller batches. However, several reviewers note that the tilt-head mechanism can wobble or loosen under strain, and it struggles with heavy, high-torque bread doughs.

KitchenAid machines last for decades so it's an investment. If you use the mixer once a week for 7 years, $350 comes out to $1 per use.
I also had a problem with the Artisan's tilt neck - the latch would come loose, and the head would bob up and down terribly while mixing.
It's a great beginner/occasional use mixer that can handle your standard cookies, cakes, etc. Unfortunately it doesn't do well with heavier use
Overall I find this stand mixer to be great for a small household that wants to bake smaller recipes more often
