Honestly, it's great! Heats up super fast and does the job. It's also (clearly lol) held up very well!
I have had both for a year and prefer the classic. I have course thick hair and the platinum takes longer and my hair does not stay straight as long.
I had a tendency to wrap the wire around the actual straightener... which made the wire come loose and rendered the styler unusable.
