To anyone who has not purchased a GE Opal 2.0 nugget ice maker, BEWARE!!! They make the best ice ever until they don't.
It used to make this HORRIBLE noise. After I would clean it out, it would be good for about a week then start groaning...
I bought a used opal 2.0 and aside from cleaning it every 2 weeks (using the solution from Amazon), it just plain works.
I agree with some of the comments, these are great but at $500 they should be easier to clean and guarantee no mold is growing.
