Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster
Community verdict
Based on 14 authentic community discussions, the Fender American Vintage II 1951 Telecaster earns an 8.4 out of 10 for capturing classic vintage tone and near-Custom Shop build resonance. Owners consistently praise its expressive twang, dynamic pickups, and premium feel. However, the vintage-accurate fat neck, small frets, and sporadic factory setup or fretwork issues make it less forgiving for modern playing styles.

IMO this is Custom Shop level, light, sustains and sings forever, pickups are fantastic, and the neck is the best neck of any Fender i have
It's exactly what I hear in my head when I think of a telecaster. The bridge pickup is very twangy, and the middle position is amazing.
Awesome tone, super versatile, classic looks. Surprisingly feels and sounds great with stock electronics.
I've heard of shoddy fretwork on the new AVRI II line among other QA issues, which is a shame because it's an awesome line of guitars.
