Ebay
Community verdict
Based on 14 authentic community discussions, eBay "estate coin lots" earn a score of 3.2 out of 10 as reviewers widely consider them overpriced marketing gimmicks. While novice collectors occasionally appreciate them as fun starter sets with small amounts of junk silver, buyers consistently warn that the coins are rarely valuable. The most-cited complaints center on hyped-up backstories, deceptive descriptions, and paying well above the actual melt or market value of the coins.

What people are saying
4 quotesGood little starter collection. Nothing particularly valuable. The dimes are worth $2 each because they are silver, but that's the most valuable ...
Don't waste your time and money. Try to get some 90% american coins minted before 1964. And try not to pay more then 2-3$ over spot.
eBay allows inaccurate descriptions of coins too. I have found several that say the coin is a silver proof when it's clad with 0% silver.
Has anyone ever bought "Estate Sale" Coin Lots on Ebay? If so. Was it worth it for random coins?
