Community verdict
Based on 13 authentic reviews, the Dyson Ball Animal 2 earns a mixed score of 5.8 out of 10. Reviewers consistently praise its immense suction power and deep-cleaning capability on standard carpets, ranking it high among traditional upright vacuums. However, it is heavily criticized for poor ergonomics, including a stiff hose, a bulky frame that struggles under furniture, and excessive suction that seals itself to thick rugs.

If you want a bagless upright, it's the best. I have a few in my collection. It's a decent cleaner. Pretty bulky so it can't go under furniture.
The Animal 2s love to wrap hair that then moves into the brush drive mechanism bearings and literally melts it apart.
The suction strength is too strong and since it can't be adjusted, you'll [struggle on thick rugs].
The worst thing about it is the hose. I like the attachments but operating the hose is miserable. It's very stiff, it kinks easily...
