Bormioli's Rocco Fido line of ringed jars are great: smooth clear glass.
I prefer Bormioli Rocco Fido jars for almost everything, from flours to liquids. Was lucky to inherit several and they are in fine condition.
It must be bad quality at this point. One exploded after 20 hours. The other exploded 1 hour after being taken out of the fridge.
I use this brand of Fido jar. I have never once had an issue in over 3 years of use. I have everything from the half liter to the 5 liter.
