I prefer Bormioli Rocco Fido jars for almost everything, from flours to liquids. Was lucky to inherit several and they are in fine condition
Third explosion - stay away from Bormioli Rocco brand. It must be bad quality at this point. One exploded after 20 hours.
I use this brand of Fido jar. I have never once had an issue in over 3 years of use. I have everything from the half liter to the 5 liter.
Kilner makes lots of cool jars. Also Bormioli Rocco is sold in supermarkets for canning and it's a nice thick glass in a million sizes.
