Austin Air HealthMate Standard
Community verdict
Based on 12 authentic reviews, the Austin Air HealthMate scores a 5.2 out of 10. While some users appreciate its heavy-duty build for continuous odor reduction and vapor filtration, many criticize its poor value proposition. The most-cited caveats include low CADR relative to cheaper competitors, strange filter odors, and inconsistent quality control.

I have an Austin Air Health Mate Plus (standard, and it functions beautifully, I run it 24/7 … with no issues whatsoever.
Unfortunately the Austin Air has a very low CADR rating .A good sub $200 purifier ( Coway , Winix ) easily trounces it.
The units have awful quality control especially since 2020, they use really lousy filtration media...
Running Austin HealthMate on low leads to floral/fruit smell ... I'm finding that in recent years, the filter will almost immediately start smelling..
