Austin Air HealthMate Plus
Community verdict
Based on 12 authentic reviews, the Austin Air HealthMate Plus earns a score of 5.8 out of 10. While users value its ability to target VOCs and run continuously for multi-year filter lifespans, enthusiasm is dampened by poor particle CADR metrics compared to cheaper alternatives. The most frequent criticisms focus on steeply rising replacement filter costs and reported declines in build quality.

My Healthmate Plus is approaching the 5 year mark, and has been running pretty much nonstop.
The pre-filter price has also gone up...it's nearly $50 for one pre-filter. When I first purchased the purifier, the pre-filters were $25.
Unfortunately the Austin Air has a very low CADR rating .A good sub $200 purifier ( Coway , Winix ) easily trounces it.
Austin sucks. The units have awful quality control especially since 2020, they use really lousy filtration media
