Use an M1 with 16gb, I am not upgrading anytime soon....it runs like a dream.
First impressions were insanely positive, even hooked to my 5120x1440 display it was lightning fast. Whats crazy is it stays room temp cool
My 16GB/512GB M1 mini is a great machine. The machine is still viable going into 2023 IMO. I would recommend the 16GB unified memory for sure.
I am using a M1 MacMini with 16gb of RAM and 512 Gb storage. it is working awesome for me.
