Community verdict
Based on 9 authentic reviews, the Sony Cyber-shot RX100 VII earns a score of 8.7 out of 10. Buyers consistently praise its remarkable 24–200mm zoom range packed into a pocket-friendly body, making it an ideal travel camera compared to heavier interchangeable lens setups. However, reviewers frequently cite its high price tag alongside a slower aperture that limits low-light performance, macro capabilities, and bokeh background blur.

RX100 VII is just as good now as it was in 2019. Compared to your phone, you get somewhat larger sensor more zoom and more advanced controls.
Just got done with a trip to Italy, and it went everywhere with me, unlike my A7Cii.
I also love telephoto lenses, and the RX100 VII's 24–200mm equivalent lens is therefore a huge attraction for me.
Crisp shots. It has quite good lens with nice range (optical zoom), reasonable aperture, just average bokeh. Macro capabilities are not great
