Community verdict
The Cuisinart dual-system coffeemaker offers great convenience for households that want both batch-brewed coffee and instant hot water for tea or cocoa in a single unit. Owners generally praise its long-term durability, quick brewing, and hot output temperature. However, many users express frustration with the carafe design, frequently noting that it drips when pouring and can be tricky to fill without spilling.

I've used these for years and they have held up really well. Bonus that it has the side for quick hot water for tea and hot chocolate.
It doesn't actually instantly make hot water, it takes a minute or so to heat up. It's really good for making tea
The maker drips water when the lid is opened, the pot drips when pouring. Putting water into the unit is difficult and messy.
Cuisinart CHW-16 does exactly this, separate coffee and hot water, though not espresso
