Community verdict
The Adidas Terrex Swift R3 Mid GTX divides opinion, though feedback leans predominantly negative compared to older iterations. A small group of wearers praise the shoe for offering solid stability and impressive traction on wet, rocky terrain. However, the majority of reviewers strongly criticize the build for its extreme rigidity, uncomfortable ankle friction caused by the tongue design, and inconsistent waterproofing.

Decent grip. Goretex does the job and looks good. Took these on a rocky hike with streams and some light climbs. Has great grip and stability.
Dude the R3s are so bad. They feel like actual bricks. Literally painful to wear. Actual garbage.
After first 10miles of hiking I got terribly painful pressure points where the corners of the shoe tongue touching the ankle.
I've used these boots about 8 times and have less than 45 miles on them and they are falling apart in several places. They are not durable at all.
